Bread & Circus Backyard Buskers Festival

Bread & Circus returns in 2021 with a special home-grown edition in the heart of Ōtautahi Christchurch. Featuring the best hand-picked local artistic talent over three weekends from 15 - 31 January 2021.

This quintessential summertime festival is a combination of ticketed events, street acts and busking at beloved Christchurch venues.

A laugh-out-loud, landmark event for families, domestic travellers and lovers of superb performance.

Highlights for 2021 include:

• The Topp Twins who will MC the popular Bread & Circus Festival Gala event at the Isaac Theatre Royal. 
• The installation Tāwhirimātea Unites - a collaborative work by Australian multidisciplinary installation artist Clayton Blake, who has joined creative forces with renowned artist Alex McLeod and Ngāi Tahu master-carver Fayne Robinson.
• A spectacular street party will activate New Regent Street in a most delightfully Kiwi way.
