Akaroa Habour Day Tour and Dolphin Cruise with Canterbury Trails

Travel to Akaroa (New Zealand's only attempted French settlement). Pass through Banks Peninsula on the summit route which gives spectacular views. Arriving at Akaroa which sits in an ancient volcanic crater formed 6 million years ago.

From the main wharf in boats depart for a Nature Cruise on the harbour. See Dolphins, penguins, seals, local bird life & learn more about the local history from your boat skipper. Explore the charming 175 year old harbour side village with it’s museum of settlers history, art & craft shops & studios before enjoying lunch at an award winning cafe. On the journey back to Christchurch we visit the Cheese Factory at Barry’s Bay.
