Experts Gather to Decide New Zealand’s Top Aerospace Innovators

Specialists in aerospace, space, agritech, innovation, business, ecology and academia will come together to judge the applications for the New Zealand Aerospace Challenge 2019.

The Challenge asks participants to design a product or service which identifies, monitors or measures water or soil pollution using satellite data and unmanned aircraft technology.

Applications for the Challenge are due on 15 September and up to ten finalists will be announced in early October.

The judges deciding the finalists who will compete in the demo and 'pitchfest' events are:

Rachel Wright from the University of Canterbury Centre for Entrepreneurship said she is looking forward to judging the applications.

I’m expecting some really big ideas to come out of the Challenge, it’s exciting to be involved as a judge”, Wright said.

The judges will select up to 10 finalists who will take part in a technology demonstration, pitchfest and awards event in Christchurch on 17 and 18 October.
