Bread & Circus – World Buskers Festival is set to light up the streets of central Ōtautahi Christchurch with another action-packed event programme to dazzle and delight.

The summer festival will run from 14 – 30 January 2022, spanning three weekends and the summer school holidays.

Strut & Fret will once again deliver the festival in 2022, after a successful event earlier in 2021. The team are busy building on that programme to make 2022 bolder and better.

The famous busking pitches, free outdoor spectacles and must-see ticketed events are all set to return with festival organisers promising something for everyone.

Scott Maidment, Festival Director, said “we are some of the luckiest people in the world right now that we can get together and celebrate”.

The arts can create that bit of magic energy through shared experience. This is what makes experiences like Bread & Circus so special,”
