Ōtautahi Christchurch’s complete online wellness service
Businesses have boosted their digital presence in recent weeks – but have you heard about the Christchurch wellness centre REWARDING you to use their online services?
O-Studio are local champions of physical and mental health. From their base at The Welder on Welles St, Tim Bateman and his team have created a space where being your best physically and mentally is innovative, fun, and done in an uplifting community of like-minded people.
This week they launched O-Connect, a pay-what-you-want online service offering yoga, meditation, community challenges, art and cooking workshops, and live music.
But get this.
“People pay what they want, and we match that dollar-for-dollar on your O-Studio account. So, whatever you pay will be doubled and can be used at our physical studio when we come out of lockdown,” Bateman said.
“So essentially you’re getting O-Connect for free and building up funds in your account to use on anything from yoga, meditation, flotation therapy, a sauna or ice bath, and everything we offer.”
Payment gives members access to a Facebook page for live sessions, and a media library where all content is uploaded to watch at leisure. The service is free for existing O-Studio members, and members of their partner company Cloud 9 Float Club.
As well as sessions with their own yoga and meditation instructors, O-Connect recently hosted a cooking demonstration with Two Raw Sisters and an art class with artist Hannah Jensen – both local to Christchurch.
More than 300 new members have already signed up and Bateman said he expected that number to grow.
“We started O-Studio to be a place that brings people together to connect, to have fun and get better, so heading online was just the next step in doing that really,” he said.
“We had about 60 doing the meditation yesterday, which was awesome. It’s so important to take care of our mental health at times like these.”
