Top spots to shop

There's some truly unique shopping on offer in the city. Here are our top spots to shop in Christchurch.

The Tannery

Located in the beautifully restored buildings of the historic Woolston Tanneries, the former industrial buildings now house a broad range of boutiques retailers, specialising in clothing, art, designer homewares and fine New Zealand made products.  The Tannery is also the perfect spot to hunt for vintage clothing and decorative antiques.

The Colombo

Edgy with a contemporary feel, The Colombo is home to an art house cinema and boutique shopping centred around a European inspired food court. Relax at large communal tables and enjoy a delicious selection of eats.

New Regent Street

New Regent Street offers a selection of boutique shops and is definitely worth exploring for the architecture alone. A great spot to pick up unique New Zealand products.

Shopping Malls

Grab yourself a bargain at Dress-Smart - the South Island's only dedicated outlet centre with more than 60 stores. Alternatively you could head to one of Christchurch's suburban shopping malls.

Westfield Riccarton is the largest mall in the South Island and Northlands, The Palms and Merivale Mall all have a great range of retail stores and food options to grab a bite.
