Get in touch with nature
Go on flower filled walks, or visit the beautiful Botanic Gardens. Just make sure to admire all those beautiful spring blooms while you can because they won't be in full bloom again until next year!

With over 800 parks and gardens in Christchurch we are spoilt for choice for picnic spots! Grab some delicious treats and your friends and head out to enjoy a real alfresco dining experience – a fantastic activity to enjoy in spring.

Feed the ducklings
Spring is the time to celebrate all the super cute baby animals so why not spend some time with your inner child by heading outside to feed the ducklings.
This is the perfect time of year to grab a friend and head down the Avon on a traditional punt! With the gardens filled with flower – there is nothing quite like relaxing and taking in the view while someone else does all the hard work.
Pet the animals
All those animal mad kids will love Arion Farm! It is a great spot to pet and feed lots of different animals – plus you can bring a picnic to make a day of it.
Play a round of golf
Time for those casual golfers to pull their clubs out of the wardrobe and dust them off. Spring brings with it ideal golfing weather, clear days and moderate temperatures.
