Porthole residing on the old site of the Volcano Restaurant and Lava Bar, Porthole embraces kiwi ingenuity at its best providing a bar made out of shipping containers and other recycled material. Most of the food is provided by the Volcano kitchen and some of the artwork is from the old Volcano. An ecletic mix of live music is provided each week with budding and visiting musicians being invited to jam on Sundays.

Wunderbar prides itself on 'oddity' and is fondly considered one of the most unique bars in New Zealand. Dolls heads, items of interest and antiques line the walls and a visit to the 50's themed toilets are a must! Open 7 days a week until late with a band playing most nights, The Wunderbar comes complete with great views of Lyttelton Harbour, pool table and foosball, all the makings of a perfect night out.

Civil and Naval is situated in an old building on Lyttelton`s busy London Street. The bar itself is not big , but very cosy and often packed with people. The drinking menu offers a great variety and the tapas served are delicious!
