Phil's best kept Canterbury secrets

Phil Keoghan, kiwi host of US reality show The Amazing Race, is keen to share secrets from the place he calls home - Christchurch and Canterbury, New Zealand. He hopes that visitors will get to experience the best Christchurch and Canterbury have to offer.

The way to get the best out of a destination is to look for local knowledge and hear insiders' tips. Travellers to Christchurch and Canterbury can now count on a trusted source of local knowledge to help them make the most of their time in this special region.

"The Amazing Race has taken me all over the world to some fascinating places but there is still nothing like coming home to New Zealand, and, of course, Canterbury has a special place in my heart because this is where my folks live. Each time I visit here I am reminded just how special this place is and I'm very excited about sharing some of my homegrown knowledge of what the South Island has to offer with our visitors," says Phil.

It's not unusual, especially midweek, to hop straight on the lift, without a wait at all. There are few places in the world, with a snow record and terrain mix like Mt Hutt's, where this is possible.
