The Antarctic Attraction

Christchurch is the world's Gateway to Antarctica. The International Antarctic Centre has twice been judged the best attraction in New Zealand. Indoor Antarctic Attraction, including the New Zealand Penguin Encounter, New Zealand's first combined indoor/outdoor penguin viewing area. An exciting outdoor ride on a genuine Antarctic vehicle - the Hagglund, is aviable. Attraction also supports an outstanding education programme and award winning function facility. Open every day of the year including Christmas Day. Set aside 2-3 hours for a visit. Located right next to Christchurch International Airport.
