Rangitata Rafts is beautifully set at the foot of the Southern
Alps. Located off the main tourist route we offer a genuine NZ
rafting experience where we are proud to have the time to make your
day a memorable one. Rafting the Rangitata gorge offers you some of
New Zealand's most exciting stretches of white water. Conquer
rapids grade 1 - 5, optional swimming in the calmer sections or
test your nerve with a leap from a jump rock, all under the
supervision of our professional guides. With 2.5 hours on the river
there is time of our guides to prepare you for the action ahead. Or
raft our gentle, fun grade 2 river option. This offers a great
introduction to rafting whilst learning the history of the area.
