Excel is small (60-70 students) and is often likened to a big family. Students from around the world come to study at Excel so it is truly an international school. Caring, friendly people support you in every way providing a personal service to ensure you achieve your goals. Excel has small classes which average 10 students. A wide range of General English levels from Elementary to Advanced as well as IELTS, Cambridge, TOEFL, TOEIC and TESOL courses are provided by high quality, very experienced teachers. Group study programmes are also very popular. A large activity programme is also a very important part of Excel's student life as it encourages you to get to know other students as well as practicing conversation skills. These activities include such things as a bi monthly latest release movie in our lounge, sports in the park, horse riding, jet boating and weekend day and over night trips.

Alpine Escape - Ski Hanmer

Hanmer Springs is a friendly, fun and spacious ski area. Only 90mins from Christchurch, in its mountain surrounds it feels as though it could be another world away.

Situated on Mount St. Patrick, at 1850m, it's an easy 40 minute drive from the alpine thermal holiday resort of Hanmer Springs. In a good season with lots of snow, this is a great area for some sensational skiing! The club field ski runs cater for all levels of skiers, but especially those at an intermediate grade who'll literally discover a whole mountain of fun! While all the main runs are groomed there's still plenty of virgin snow left for the experts and the more adventurous to enjoy.
