The Christchurch Gondola is situated just 15 minutes from the
inner city. Situated on the Port Hills, the Summit Station of the
Gondola provides spectacular panoramic views from its elevation at
500 metres above sea level. Once at the top, there are lots to do
and see in the summit complex. The Time Tunnel Ride experience is a
must. This automated ride takes you through the smouldering depths
of a volcano, a short voyage onboard a ship and ride through the
early settlements of Lyttelton and Christchurch. If you are feeling
active the summit station provides access to numerous walks along
the Port Hills and provides amazing photo opportunities. For those
wanting a leisurely pace, sit in our cafe over a light lunch or
coffee and admire the views or visit later in the day for an
amazing evening dining experience at Pinnacle Restaurant.
