Christchurch College of English

Located on campus, in modern purpose built facilities, students have access to our language laboratory, independent study centre, computer room (with free email and internet access), library, and cafeteria. A full range of courses is offered including General English, Academic English, examination courses (Cambridge, IELTS, CELTA & TKT), and Internship.

Classes are small to ensure students receive individual tuition at a level appropriate to their skills. Communicative teaching methods ensure that students develop confidence across all four skill areas - listening, speaking, reading and writing. Staff have advanced professional qualifications and many years of experience in teaching English to speakers of other languages. Homestay can be arranged close to the College and an activities programme provides enjoyment of the social, cultural and tourism attractions offered in Christchurch. Enjoy studying English in one of the best colleges and one of the best places in the world - Christchurch, New Zealand.

  • Mackenzie Aoraki/Mount Cook

The village of Aoraki/Mount Cook is a comfortable haven in one of the most unforgiving parts of New Zealand. On every side, the Southern Alps scrape the sky. Aoraki/Mount Cook itself is New Zealand's tallest mountain and the same peak that Sir Edmund Hillary "practised" on before his successful ascent of Everest. However, you don't have to be a mountaineer to enjoy what is on offer here.
