Arthur's Pass Walks

Impressive alpine scenery, waterfalls, scrub, tussock and expansive views of the Waimakariri River are some of the highlights on the walking tracks in Arthur's Pass. Tramper's are advised to carry appropriate equipment and to check weather conditions before departing.

Arthur's Pass Walking Track

Starting point: Start at the Punchbowl, Bealey Chasm (Jacks Hut) or Temple Basin car parks to walk all or part of the track and return the same way.

Starting point: Car park entrance is on a sharp bend at the Christchurch end of the long one-way Bealey Bridge across the Waimakariri River, 10 km east of Arthur's Pass.
