New Zealand's most beautiful street opened a new chapter in its colourful history on Saturday 20 April, 2013. Christchurch's iconic Spanish Mission Style New Regent Street opened its doors to welcome back visitors.
Businesses returning to the street after more than two years away include Moko Cafe, Cafe Stir, Coffee Lovers, Youngs Jewellers, and Hot Damn! Lingerie, which is currently located in the Re:START Mall.
New arrivals will include Prestige Fudge, MC for Nails, Beadz Unlimited (which had been in the Arts Centre), custom jeweller Polished Diamonds, The Last Word, an exciting new bar from the owners of the Darkroom, Mrs Higgins Cookies, and the renowned Caffeine Laboratory who are currently located in Re:START.
This will become the second stimulating retail anchor in the CBD, which will complement the existing Re:START Mall made from colourful shipping containers, and will once again be a major drawcard for visitors to the central city.
