Christchurch accommodation update

30 September 2015

The re-opening of stage one of the Sudima Christchurch Airport, and the soon to be completed All Stars Inn on Bealey has brought more accommodation options for those visiting Christchurch.

Within the last 12 months, a selection of both luxury suites, compact accomodation and inner city apartments have opened to suit all budgets and requirements, with more to come in the near future.

Sudima Christchurch Airport unveils 88 new rooms

The first stage of a two-year $25 million redevelopment project at Sudima Christchurch Airport is now complete, and access to a new wing incorporating 88 state-of-the-art executive rooms and suites has shifted from construction workers to guests. This extensive redevelopment project will assist in elevating the hotel to sought-after 4.5-star accommodation status.

Opened on 31 July 2015, the brand new executive rooms and suites present a fresh and modern offer to domestic and international guests, with contemporary design by Catalyst Consulting.

Stage two of the extensive redevelopment project, due for completion in late October 2015, will include a brand new lobby and façade, plus an expansion of the hotels current conference facilities to cater for up to 300 guests in theatre-style. In addition, the hotel will boast two additional conferencing venues able to host a further 120 guests theatre style as well as two new board rooms all with natural light.

Sudima Christchurch Airport is a two-minute walk from the airport and offers a first-class full-service facility, including an on-site bar and restaurant. The hotel will boast 241 rooms upon the $25 million development project’s completion.

All Stars Inn

All Stars Inn on Bealey will be opening its doors on the 2 November, with a blend of 4 and 6 bed dorms (all with bathrooms) and 8 bed dorms with shared facilities. There will also be 42 private rooms available so we hope to cater for all tastes.

The main building will sleep approximately 210 guests and 20 refurbished units will sleep another 100.

The purpose built building was constructed of an exciting timber product called Xlam, meaning the floors, walls and ceilings are all made from this product hence the much speedier build time.

  • Hotel Montreal – Boutique 5 Star accommodation – 25 rooms
  • Ramada Suites – 4 Star apartment style accommodation – 44 rooms
  • Breakfree on Cashel – Contemporary and compact accommodation – 263 rooms.
