Christchurch To Akaroa Day Trip - $79.00
We will pick up guests from their accommodation and then commence
a tour of the inner city and see:-
The Avon River, Victoria Square, Town Hall, Museum, Botanical
Gardens, The Arts Centre, Antigua Boat Sheds.
We'll make our way up the Port Hills via the Sign of the Takahe,
Sign of the Kiwi and carry on up the Summit Road with views out
over the Canterbury Plains, Lake Ellesmere and Kaitorete Spit, past
the Sign of the Bellbird overlooking Lyttelton Harbour, Diamond
Harbour and Quail Island.
Stops made here:
Little River to admire the local arts and crafts, browse the Art
Gallery, or enjoy a stroll in this quiet little farming town.
Barry's Bay Cheese Factory where you can sample a variety of
locally made cheeses.
Optional stop made at The Hilltop for a coffee break overlooking
Akaroa Harbour and Onewa Peninsula.
After a barbecue lunch in Akaroa you'll have time to do a
variety of things at your leisure. Perhaps take a harbour cruise to
see the rare Hector's dolphins, seals and penguins or you can swim
with the dolphins, take a jet boat ride , or sailing experience.
Gem & Fossil Museum, Birdlings Flat and admire Vince's private
collection or take a walk along the beach where you can collect
many beautiful stones.
Arrive back at your accommodation at approximately 5.45 pm.
