Interislander

Interislander travels between the North and South Islands of New Zealand and is one of the most spectacular cruises in the world. With 92 km of breathtaking views, the three-hour journey between Wellington and Picton really is one of New Zealand's most iconic tourism activities.

Interislander operates three ships, the Kaitaki, Arahura and Aratere, for you and your vehicle. We have up to 11 sailings a day, so you'll always have a wide choice of travel times.

Once you're on your Interislander journey, you can take a stroll on the decks, enjoy a meal, a drink or even catch the latest movie releases. Or you could just choose to relax and take in the breathtaking view.

Children are well catered for with a play area, nursery, cartoons and video games. Plus there's plenty of seating for families.

"Club Class" onboard Arahura and Aratere offers Interislander passengers the opportunity to relax in a private lounge and enjoy complimentary newspapers, magazines, refreshments and workstations.

Kaitaki Plus, our premium lounge onboard Kaitaki is the most comfortable and luxurious way to cross Cook Strait. A Kaitaki Plus ticket allows you to access a private lounge which includes comfortable seating, free internet access, Sky TV, newspapers and magazines, complimentary beer, wine, tea, coffee and finger food.

Combining spectacular scenery and great service, it is easy to see why Interislander has been described "as one of the most beautiful ferry rides in the world" by Wine Spectator Magazine, USA.
