Welcome to the team - Joy and Jessica

6 August 2015

By Rowan Worner, GM Marketing, Christchurch & Canterbury Tourism

Join us in welcoming two new faces to the CCT marketing team. Joy Sajamark is our new Trade Marketing Manager and Jessica Hynes started earlier this week as our Media Marketing Coordinator.

Hello Joy Sajamark

What you need to know about Joy

Joy has joined CCT as a secondment from her role at Tourism New Zealand as their Market Development Manager Thailand. She has been keeping the Thai market passionate about New Zealand for the past seven years in this role and previous to this she worked for seven years in the Public Relations company that had Tourism New Zealand as their client.

So while she hasn’t ever lived in New Zealand, her product knowledge of tourism in New Zealand is exceptional and she has been here on many famils, trade events and has been Punting on the Avon more times than many of the CCT team!

What is her role at CCT?

Starting on 9 September Joy takes the reigns as CCT’s Trade Marketing Manager. This will involve representing or managing the representation for CCT at 12-15 offshore trade events, managing the process of 40-50 trade famils, including sales calls to ITOs in NZ and trade in Australia. She will also oversee all of the activity CCT undertake in the China market.

Joy’s favourite place in Canterbury

“One of my favourite places in Canterbury is Aoraki Mount Cook/Mackenzie. Coming from such a warm climate, seeing the snow-cap mountain alone excites me. Top that off with a clear night sky...amazing!”

Get in touch with Joy!

Introducing Jessica Hynes

A little bit about Jessica

Jessica was introduced to the tourism industry with her previous role at the International Antarctic Centre. As their Sales and Marketing Assistant she worked on a wide spectrum of marketing activities including working with trade, media, social and digital channels and advertising. She is a great fit for her new role at CCT with her background in writing – she holds a Graduate Diploma in Journalism and has done a number of freelance writing jobs.

What will she be doing at CCT?

Jessica’s role is Media Marketing Coordinator. Alongside Emma O’Reilly who is our Media & Communications Manager, they will ensure the region is well covered by domestic and international media. Jessica will be the key point of contact for the organisation of all the media famils that travel through the Canterbury region. Last financial year CCT hosted 107 media famils, so this is a big job!

Jessica's thoughts on the best of Canterbury

“In the city, I love The Tannery for a really unique shopping and dining experience. Heading away for a relaxing weekend of forest walks, hot pools and pampering in Hanmer Springs is a Canterbury must do - and such a short distance away!”

Say hello to Jess!

Common rail direct injection is an intelligent way of controlling a diesel engine with use of modern computer systems.Common Rail direct injection helps to improve the power, performance and reduce harmful emissions from a diesel engine. Conventional Diesel Engines (non-CRDI engines) are sluggish, noisy and sensor in performance compared to a CRDI engine.
Common Rail Nozzle or Common Rail Injector Valve is also sometimes referred to by many similar or different names. Some brands use name CRDe / DICOR / Turbojet / DDIS / TDI etc. All these systems work on same principles with Common Rail Injector slight variations and enhancements here and there.
Common rail direct injection system uses Common Rail Shim & Gasket kit which is like one single rail or fuel channel which contains diesel compresses at high pressure. This is a called a common rail because there is one single pump which compresses the diesel and one single rail which contains that compressed fuel. In conventional diesel engines, there will be as many pumps and fuel rails as there are cylinders.
