It's taking the world by storm…move over Metrosexual, Hipsters and the like, the newest man on the scene is the "Lumbersexual". He's in touch with his manly side, and feels at home in the rugged outdoors, all the while sporting his neatly trimmed and immaculately groomed beard.
You may be wondering why we here at CCT care about this new fad but a straw poll revealed a few secret bearded man fans, so we have decided to embrace this fashion trend since our region has so much to offer this market!
Think canyoning in the Kaumira Canyon, or perhaps an exploration through Cave Stream. High County fishing and hunting are sure to be top of his "to do" list, and let's not forget a bit of adrenalin thrills and spills with skydiving or bungy! But remember there's a strong desire to maintain their rugged good looks, so some of our high end lodges and delicious gourmet food will come in handy too.
We believe so strongly in Canterbury's (or is this a good time to reference Man-terbury?) ability to satisfy these city men who just don't get "back to nature" as much as they wished they could, that we are putting a new media campaign together to attract this untapped market.

How can your business get involved? Apart from making sure you have a mirror and beard comb handy at all times, just let us know if you think your business fits the bill for this group of men, and if you are keen to get involved and we may be able to feature you in an upcoming media famil!
