The Addington Fun Fair is on once again!

7 November 2013

The Addington Fun Fair is happening again this year on Saturday, November 23 at the lovely, green setting of St Mary’s Church Square, Addington.

It promises to be a fun-filled day with 40 stalls  - crafts, baking, books, bric-a-brac and more – home-made carnival games, pony rides, a bouncy castle, all manner of races, a tug of war, live music, Devonshire teas and more! There will be a BBQ and various ethnic foods thanks to various community groups. Any donations from stall holders on the day will go towards St Mary's Church to aid the purchase of games and sporting equipment for the local community to use.

The ever-popular free live concert component of the Fair will come courtesy of a whole host of Christchurch talent. The line-up features the Sunshine Band who are an 'ol time Dixie jazz and swing band, Warlords of Atlantis, an instrumental surf guitar band, Mustard, a '70s inspired retro rock trio and The Billie Jean Project who are a modern soul quartet, fronted by the effervescent and eponymous Billie Jean.

It promises to be a lovely day, so please bring your family and friends. In the event of rain, the fair will be held on the Sunday from 12 – 4pm to accommodate St Mary’s Church Services that morning.
