Porters mid-week discounted lift pass is just the tonic for stressed corporate executives and hard-working rostered workers on their days off.
Today’s mid-week skiers and riders were greeted with the first day of ‘Porters Powder’ due to the 25cm of snow which fell overnight. Chains were required on 2WD vehicles and staff had to dig out the café for guests (see picture attached).
Porters mid-week lift ticket priced at only $NZD69.00 per adult, represents a 25% saving off the full priced ticket. Corporate warriors and rostered workers can enjoy this benefit Monday – Friday, all season long (except school holidays). Even better they can bring a mate for only $20 on Monday and Tuesday.
Porters close proximity to Christchurch is a real benefit for mid-week skiers and riders comments Sales and Marketing Manager, Anton Wilke. “Porters is the closest ski area to Christchurch, with one of the easiest mountain access roads, taking around one hour from the heart of Christchurch. It is a real bonus for our guests on the mountain”, he adds.
There are no restrictions on what a mid-week skier or rider can enjoy at Porters with their discounted ticket. All lifts, including the Easy Rider quad chairlift (installed in 2015) along with the three T-Bars and arguably the best learners’ area in Canterbury are all available. The panoramic views from the top of the mountain, across Lake Coleridge, Mount Cook and the Southern Alps are quite simply breath-taking.
“Hitting the slopes mid-week is about fun and revitalisation helping to make the balance of the week just a little more tolerable”, adds Anton.
Mid-week skiing and riding at Porters is medicine that can be repeated frequently during the season.
