The 2015 SCIRT WORLD BUSKERS FESTIVAL promises to carry on the tradition by offering a programme of events that showcases the very best of the best! We've enlisted fifty amazing street performers, comedians, fringe artists, musicians and visual artists that are destined to leave you mesmerised and in awe. Whether you're a fan of highly skilled acrobatics, hoola-hoopers, trapeze artists, musicians, dancers, circus and vaudeville skits, burlesque or you're simply out for a good belly laugh - we've got it all!

The following is a list of notable acts performing at the SCIRT World Buskers Festival 2015.
The Vaudevillians (USA) are the former stars of the American days of old, tragedy struck when they visiting Antarctica. Thanks to modern day ‘global warming’ they are returning to the stage a bit past their prime. So if you’re a fan of olde time music, witty banter, and convoluted back-stories, then you’re going to LOVE the Vaudevillians.
The Boy with Tape on his Face: The Beginning (NZ) is the show that started it all, the precursor to the act enjoyed by Busker audiences for the past two years, The Beginning will show audiences how it all began and what made the boy with tape the success he is today. Buy tickets fast as they’re sure to go quickly!
Miss Behave (UK) is an act sure to entice with sword swallowing, quick wit, high camp, saucy curves ‘n’ costumes. This live cartoon of a performance (as seen on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno) will be sure to delight.
Roxie D’Lite (CAN), “The Bad Girl of Burlesque” and “The Drinkin’, Smokin’, Strippin Machine”, Roxie has been voted as one of the Top 5 Burlesque Performers in the world. She is known for her spin on classic burlesque by incorporating unusual props with aerial acrobats.
Arizona Jones (USA), a parody of the legendary film icon, Indiana Jones, Arizona has audiences witness whip-cracking, wise cracking, fire spewing feats, and mesmerizing magic as the lesser known and less fortunate distant cousin of the great Indiana.
Mr & Mrs Alexander (NZ) Award winning duo David Ladderman and Lizzie Tollemache (as seen with The Loons Circus Theatre Company, The Court Theatre, Circotica) are back home in Christchurch following a triumphant five month tour of the US, UK and Canada. Catch the exclusive homecoming season and enjoy a play which includes mentalism, illusion and real sideshow stunts!
Promise & Promiscuity (NZ) written by Jane Austen and Penny Ashton, this musical follows the fortunes of Miss Elspeth Slowtree as she battles literary snobbery, her mother’s nerves and Cousin Horatio, all armed with a superior wit, blushing countenance and generally being quite bright… you know… for a girl. Balls will be attended, crosses will be stitched and manners will be minded, all with not one ankle in sight.

Ian D Montford (AUS) takes a satirical, comedic look at mediums and entertains the crowds with original, improvised hilarity that has made both believers and sceptics laugh and laugh.
Captain Kidd (AUS), Australia’s leading Boylesque Circus hybrid and major international brat boy is back! Having toured the globe for the last ten years, with multiple awards to his name, Captain Kidd’s wild show is returning to Christchurch with more sparkle and crazy costumes.
Pete O’Connell (CAN) is a street musician originally from Ottawa who has performed around the world since 1988. He builds and performs with his own guitars and other custom instruments including a recently designed invention he calls the Roda. Be sure to check him out and say hello!
