Heritage Week 2009
Heritage Week promises to open your eyes to places of the past,
places of peace, and places you never knew existed!
Doves and Defences: Discover Christchurch in Peace and
Conflict is the theme for our 17th annual Heritage
Week.
Uncover some of our City's hidden histories and explore how
peace and conflict have shaped Christchurch; from war memorials in
the city, townships and suburbs, along with underground bunkers and
caverns, to sites of peace and the people who fought for it in many
different ways and see how fashion, music, and dance
influenced our culture.
Beca Heritage Week is packed full of Exhibitions and Displays,
Lectures and Seminars, Music, Dance and Film, Tours, Open Days and
