Chinese Lantern Festival
Celebrating the Chinese Year of the Tiger in 2010, Victoria
Square comes alive with amazing performances and lit lantern
designs throughout the park and Avon River.
Bring along all the family to enjoy two magical nights of
lanterns, non-stop entertainment and delicious foodstalls at
Victoria Square, in celebration of Chinese New Year. Highlights
include visiting performers from China and a host of new lanterns
specially imported from China. Organised by Asia New Zealand
Foundation with funding support from Christchurch City Council.
