Top New Zealand golfing event for Clearwater
Christchurch is hosting the 93rd BMW NZ Open Championship at the
Clearwater Golf Club in early December.
The tournament, from December 1 to 4, is the biggest golfing
event in New Zealand.
"After a difficult year in Christchurch and missing out on
hosting Rugby World Cup 2011, it is wonderful to be able to host
the biggest golfing event in our country,'' says Christchurch mayor
Bob Parker. "We are a city on the mend and the council remains
committed to attracting top sporting events to Christchurch."
