New Zealand's newest championship golf course, Pegasus, is the
Home of the 2010 NZ Women's Open. Highlighting a dramatic
entrance to the new town of Pegasus, this par 72, 18 hole parklands
style golf course is 25kms north of Christchurch and three minutes
drive from the beach. All welcome.
Pegasus Golf & Sports Club is fortunate to have escaped
any major damage from the Christchurch earthquake and is fully
operational.
Shaped by 11 feature lakes, maturing trees and wetlands and
framed by views of the Port Hills, Mt Grey and the Pacific Coast,
the course reflects a modern take on classic golf course design and
provides players of all abilities with a choice on the degree of
risk and reward.
Facilities include a state-of-the art all weather driving range
with pop-up tee system, practice putting and chipping greens,
changing rooms, hire equipment, tennis centre, gymnasium, Pro Shop
and The Bunker Café & Bar. Golf and tennis coaches
available on request.

From Christchurch drive north on State Highway 1 for 25kms. Pegasus is located just after Woodend and the entrance to the development is clearly marked with a statement bridge beside the golf course.
