Hotel Montreal has opened its doors

Central Christchurch has gained a new luxury boutique hotel, Hotel Montreal. Offering 25 spacious rooms of 50-70 sqm and an exquisite three bedroom penthouse, Hotel Montreal rooms cater to every type of discerning traveller.

All rooms feature a private balcony, 50” plasma television, iPad, complimentary high-speed wifi, modern bathrooms, unique furnishings and art works. An onsite gym is also available to guests of Hotel Montreal.

Family owned and operated, Hotel Montreal offers a personable style of service, creating a relaxed and enjoyable environment that makes every stay unique and memorable. Passionate about Christchurch, owner Lilly Cooper has put a lot of care and thought into making sure the hotel fits well with its surroundings and will be an established property in Christchurch for many years to come. Large grass lawns at Hotel Montreal integrate seamlessly into the surrounding landscapes of Cramner Square and Hagley Park, making it the perfect location to stay in Christchurch.

The hotel team is on hand to create tailored activity packages to suit any guest using the best local guides and access to exclusive properties and locations. With a fleet of three new Landrovers and a partnership with Over The Top Helicopters, Hotel Montreal ensures the most exciting and comfortable excursion.

The hotel’s Polo Bar is inspired by the Polo teams of Argentina, and frequented by our Hotel Montreal Polo team! Using seasonal and local ingredients, the menu offers traditional dishes such as Al Pil Pil, Ceviche de Verduras, Escabeche of market fresh fish and Empanadas. Enjoy the outdoor fires, where the chef will be cooking beautiful Argentinian meats to hand around. The hotel lawns offer a peaceful escape to relax with a glass of wine or engage in a friendly game of croquet. The polo bar is open to guests and public for breakfast from 6.30am and tapas from 3pm. Lunch is available 12pm till 3pm.

Hotel Montreal is equipped to cater all special events, parties and corporate groups from small to large. The penthouse is available for conferences and special events, with the option of a private chef and bartender.
