Paddle boat or Kayak on the Avon
A classic Christchurch family outing is heading down to the Antigua Boatsheds and hiring a paddle-boat of kayak to explore the Avon river. Challenge your kids to a race or take your time enjoy the beautiful scenery around the gardens.
Get up close to amazing animals
Orana Wildlife Park is New Zealand's only open-range zoo. This park is an awe-inspiring outing to view lions, rhino and tigers…the list goes on. Plus you can also feed the giraffes! Now that is awesome!

Ride the train
