Our very own portside town is an incredible mix of eclectic style, chilled vibes, and high-end dining. There really is nothing quite like it.
These are some of our favourite reasons to head over the hill.

SUPER – Neon lights, gold cutlery, Japanese pottery and some incredibly delicious food. SUPER really is super!
Roots – this intimate restaurant has some of the very best food in the country. Driven by a simple philosophy: to serve good food using fresh, seasonal, organic ingredients. Their degustation menu will change your life.

Wunderbar – This iconic bar will meet all your quirk needs – velvet wallpaper, doll’s-head light shades, and hidden toilets. The epic views and huge calendar of live music will keep you coming back.
Civil & Naval – nostalgic vibes are in full force at Civil & Naval. Delicious beers, incredible tapas and the best hand cut chips in the city, this is not to be missed.

Lyttelton Bakery and Glamour Cake – these incredible treats need to be seen to be believed. The epic variety of amazing creations will blow your mind and fulfill all your sugar fantasies.
Lyttelton Coffee Company – you can find this wee gem in a 1920s heritage building. This is an incredible spot to enjoy a brew or two.

Boutique shopping - visit Spooky Boogie to find music, limited edition T-shirts, and original art or drop by the Harbour Co-op – a community and staff-owned co-operative store that supports local, organic, fair trade and wholefoods producers. Just some of our favourites.
Lyttelton Farmers’ Market – every Saturday from 10am – 1pm with some of the best food in the city. You know where to find us this weekend.
