sunrises you will ever se. The snowcapped seaward Kaikoura
mountains rising above Kaikoura Bay are a memorable sight during
the winter months, and the unseasonable snow fall on the tops at
other times of the year is a bonus. Fishing boats anchored in the
bay provide a foreground to views of the open sea horizon. Sea
birds are common also on occasion dolphins and seals may be seen in
the bay
