Okuti Garden

This one is a bit different! You can stay in a house truck, yurt, tipi or farmhouse. Eco friendly, child friendly and vegetarian friendly ... just friendly really! Situated on the sunny side of the beautiful Okuti Valley, just 50 minutes from Central Christchurch and 4km from the end of the Little River Rail Trail cycleway, Okuti Garden is a great base for exploring the amazing Banks Peninsula.

FROM NZ $30

At Okuti Garden you can stay in a yurt, tipi, house truck or farmhouse. Or pitch your tent between the fruit trees or down by the pond. The atmosphere is relaxed and sociable, and the garden has lots of quiet nooks and crannies; great places to read, meditate or practice yoga. We provide an art box and games, but there's no TV! We do a vege feast on Saturday evenings (November to March) and breakfast every morning. (Both must be booked in advance.) The small garden kitchen, where you can create your own feast, is surrounded by fresh herbs for you to use. Ongoing eco projects include a solar shower, compost loo, wastewater wetland and bountiful organic gardens.
